Teachers Federal Credit Union Celebrates Season Of Giving By Surpassing $1 Million In Annual Charitable Giving Donations
Teachers Federal Credit Union concluded the year with its annual Season of Giving campaign by donating $50,000 to three outstanding nonprofit organizations
Teachers Federal Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in the United States with $9.8 billion in assets and more than 460,000 members nationwide, proudly concludes its fourth annual Season of Giving campaign, donating $50,000 to three nonprofit organizations. This effort capped off a record breaking year of charitable giving for the credit union, donating over $1,000,000 to 105 nonprofit organizations across the country.
The Season of Giving campaign, which launched on Giving Tuesday, invited members and communities nationwide to vote on how the $50,000 in funds would be distributed among three deserving nonprofit organizations. After thousands of votes were tallied, Teachers is proud to announce this year’s recipients:
Island Harvest Food Bank: Awarded $25,000 to support its mission of alleviating hunger and reducing food waste across Long Island.
Habitat for Humanity International: Awarded $15,000 to further its mission of building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
Junior Achievement USA: Awarded $10,000 to empower young people with skills in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness.
“Surpassing $1 million in charitable contributions within a single year underscores our deep and unwavering commitment to supporting the communities we serve,” said Brad C. Calhoun, President and CEO of Teachers Federal Credit Union. “The success of our annual Season of Giving campaign, driven by the votes and support of our members, employees, partners, and community, is a powerful testament to our shared dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.”
The Season of Giving is just one example of Teachers Federal Credit Union’s commitment to building a stronger community. Through donations, volunteer efforts, and partnerships, Teachers actively supports nonprofit organizations focused on education, health and human services, economic development, and research.
