Teresa Knox Tapped for Hartford Business Journal’s C-suite Award
American Eagle’s Chief Operating Officer recognized for commitment to growth, service and helping members attain financial freedom
American Eagle Financial Credit Union (American Eagle) salutes our Chief Operating Officer Teresa Knox, who has been named an honoree of the 2023 Hartford Business Journal’s “C-suite Award.”
“Teresa Knox is a pioneer,” said American Eagle President and Chief Executive Officer Howard Brady. “As the highest-ranking woman at American Eagle, Teresa developed and led many of the initiatives that now define our credit union, including the introduction of online banking and mobile banking bill pay, remote deposit capture and the first of American Eagle’s video teller machines.
“Today, American Eagle is the largest community credit union in Connecticut, and Teresa played a critical role in expanding our size and service area to more than 180,000 members, offering banking services throughout Hartford, Middlesex, New Haven and Tolland counties, and Hampden County, Mass.,” Brady added.
“Perhaps most notable is Teresa’s commitment to driving the American Eagle mission: Enriching the lives of our members and communities to create a world where financial freedom is a reality,” Brady explained. “She is devoted to building financial literacy and participates in Financial Reality Fairs, which are hands-on experiences that have taught real-world financial knowhow to more than 34,000 Connecticut high school students.”
“I feel like I have the greatest job in the world,” said Knox. “My colleagues and I work for an incredible organization that lives up to the ‘People Helping People’ Credit Union principle, whether that is helping our members, employees or the communities we serve. It’s an honor to have our collective work recognized by the Hartford Business Journal, and it’s even more wonderful to help our members build their lives through the products and services we provide here at American Eagle.”
