Texas Trust Gives Foundation Donates $5,000for Toys to WFAA’s Santa’s Helpers

The Texas Trust Gives Foundation cheerfully donated $5,000 to television station WFAA’s Santa’s Helpers toy drive.

Santa’s Helpers, in its 55th year serving Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, and Denton counties, collects new toys and bicycles for children up to 18 years old to ensure every child has something new for Christmas.

The financial gift from Texas Trust will be used by Santa’s Helpers to purchase needed toys at wholesale prices. The toys will be dispersed to children throughout the DFW metroplex through more than a dozen local charities and community support organizations.

“Santa's Helpers makes sure more than 50,000 children across North Texas can share in the holiday cheer,” said Washima Huq, Executive Director of the Texas Trust Gives Foundation. “We hope our gift makes Christmas brighter for the children who receive presents from this wonderful program.”

Huq, along with Texas Trust Credit Union’s CEO Jim Minge, presented the check to Santa’s Helpers during a live Good Morning Texas broadcast following the toy drive in Grand Prairie.
