The Hill Recognizes CUNA’s Nussle, Stverak as Top Lobbyists

CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle and Deputy Chief Advocacy Officer Jason Stverak were named among The Hill’s top lobbyists for 2023. Nussle and Stverak were recognized as “impactful advocates [that] stand out for the results they’ve delivered for their clients, companies, trade associations and advocacy groups in the nation’s capital.”

Nussle joined CUNA in 2014 and has appeared on the list each year since then.

“It’s been a successful year for credit unions on Capitol Hill thanks to the CUNA-League system engaging with our policymakers and telling them the stories and data behind the credit union difference,” Nussle said. “It’s an honor to represent credit unions on Capitol Hill and advocate for financial well-being for all.”

Stverak joined CUNA in October 2021 and was named to The Hill’s Top Lobbyist list in 2022

“This honor is a team effort, and our team has been able to make great strides for credit union members,” Stverak said. “We wouldn’t be able to advance our credit union priorities without the longstanding relationships CUNA, Leagues, and credit unions have built up with lawmakers. It is truly an honor to help represent CUNA and the over 138 million credit union members on Capitol Hill.”

Stverak was also recognized as a Top 100 Lobbyist by the National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics in 2022.
