Three Florida Credit Unions Win Statewide CUNA Awards

The League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU & Affiliates) and the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) are proud to announce that three Florida credit unions won a total of four statewide 2023 CUNA Awards for outstanding outreach to their members and communities. The annual CUNA Awards bestow the highest honors to credit unions that are making a difference around the country.

The Desjardins Financial Education awards celebrates leadership in both youth and adult financial literacy initiatives.

· Calhoun Liberty Credit Union won 1st place for the Desjardins Youth Financial Education Award among credit unions between $50 and 250 million in assets.

The Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award encourages and honors credit union involvement in community projects and activities.

· JM Associates Federal Credit Union won 1st place for the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award among credit unions between $50 and 250 million in assets.

· Miami Postal Service Credit Union won 2nd place for the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award among credit unions between $50 and 250 million in assets.

The Louise Herring Award for Philosophy in Action honors credit unions that are making exceptional efforts to include credit union philosophy in daily operations.

· Miami Postal Service Credit Union won 1st place for the Louise Herring Award for Philosophy in Action among credit unions between $50 and 250 million in assets.

All 1st place statewide winners have been entered into the national awards program administered by CUNA. The results of the national contest will be announced in November.
