Veridian Credit Union announces recipients of $90k in Giving Tuesday donations
Veridian Credit Union has awarded $90,000 in Giving Tuesday donations to organizations across Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota in celebration of its 90th anniversary. Recipient organizations were nominated by the public for the credit union’s Veridian Gives Back for Giving Tuesday campaign and drawn at random to receive the donations.
“Veridian was founded 90 years ago on the need to support our communities and the people in them,” said Veridian President and CEO Renee Christoffer. “It’s appropriate for our anniversary celebrations to reflect those values that still guide us today.”
Three organizations in each of the credit union’s five market areas received $5,000. Recipients in each market area include:
Cedar Falls/Waterloo:
Embracing Exploration – Waterloo, Iowa
Northeast Iowa Food Bank – Waterloo, Iowa
Pathways Behavioral Services – Waterloo, Iowa
Cedar Rapids/Iowa City:
Catherine McAuley Center – Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Iowa City Free Medical & Dental Clinic – Iowa City, Iowa
Together We Achieve – Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Des Moines area:
Jewels Academy – Des Moines, Iowa
Kingdom Living Iowa – Des Moines, Iowa
Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Inc. – Des Moines, Iowa
Omaha/Council Bluffs:
Angel Guardians, Inc. – Omaha, Neb.
Completely KIDS – Omaha, Neb.
Humble & Kind – Bellevue, Neb.
Twin Cities area:
Bloomington-Eden Prairie Meals on Wheels – Bloomington, Minn.
Kaitlyn’s Kloset – Eagan, Minn.
People Reaching Out to People – Eden Prairie, Minn.
One additional organization from any of those market areas was also drawn to receive a $15,000 donation. That recipient is:
