Wescom Credit Union Named Official Banking Partner of Knott’s Berry Farm
Eight-year partnership supports strategic member growth objectives, enabling Wescom to offer its products and services to park guests and associates
Wescom Credit Union, one of the largest community credit unions in the entire U.S., has been named the Official Banking Partner of Knott’s Berry Farm, which also operates Knott’s Soak City Water Park, Knott’s Berry Farm Marketplace, and the Knott’s Hotel. Knott’s, which is California’s original theme park, is located in Wescom’s service area, situated in the heart of Orange County and just 20 miles from Los Angeles. Financial terms were not disclosed.
“We are so thrilled to enter this eight-year partnership with Knott’s as both of our organizations are recognized as bedrocks of the local community and have fostered deep and enduring relationships with generations of Southern Californian families,” reflected Ashley White, Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer. “This partnership with Knott’s allows us to expand our membership growth initiatives into the consumer experience space with a brand that, like ours, is so deeply rooted in California.”
Under the agreement, Wescom will have exclusive rights to offer its full range of products and services – including checking, savings, certificates, youth accounts, loans, credit and debit cards, investments, insurance, and more – to Knott’s guests and associates. Wescom plans to offer an affinity card program for Knott’s guests, offer memberships to new hires during the Knott’s onboarding process, and open a new credit union branch near Knott’s California Marketplace in late 2024. In addition, Wescom members and team members will have access to ticket giveaways and discounts throughout the year.
