Several credit union leaders were recognized at the Credit Union Awards Celebration, a special event held during the Indiana Credit Union League‘s annual convention, and Tinker Federal Credit Union announced a promotion within its organization.
New Hires:
- Serve Credit Union is pleased to announce the creation of a new position, Lending Portfolio Manager. This member-focused role will oversee and improve on Serve’s loan portfolio while ensuring the financial needs of their members are met. In addition to supporting their membership, this role strengthens Serve’s commitment to responsible lending and plays a key part in driving the credit union’s growth. Holger Cordero will be joining Serve Credit Union as their first-ever Lending Portfolio Manager. Cordero brings a combined 14 years of experience in the credit union and financial services industry. He is well positioned to lead Serve into this exciting new chapter of growth and member impact. Outside of work, Holger is a devoted family man to his wife and three children. He enjoys vacationing in Ecuador to visit extended family, and if you want to spark a lively conversation, just mention cars.

- Eglin Federal Credit Union is pleased to congratulate PAL & Title Supervisor Lela Corlew for 25 years of service. Lela currently resides in Fort Walton Beach. On Wednesday, Oct. 15, a celebratory breakfast was held at the Operations Center to honor Lela’s milestone anniversary. Friends, family and coworkers gathered to recognize her dedication and contributions.
- Day Air Credit Union is proud to announce that our Community Development Manager, Ashley Runk, has been honored with the Sandie Geib Ambassador of the Year Award at the annual WiBN Awards Gala, hosted by Women in Business Networking (WiBN). This award recognizes a woman who epitomizes the spirit of community service, leadership, mentorship, and advocacy. Someone who serves as a true ambassador for her profession and her community.
- Amy Wells of Everwise Credit Union received the 2025 Emerging Leadership Award from the Indiana Credit Union League on October 3 during the Credit Union Awards Celebration, a special event during the League’s annual convention. Wells, an Area Manager, has held various roles at the credit union, including teller, teller supervisor, branch manager, and Central Indiana Recruiting & Training Specialist. She oversees five locations in central Indiana, as well as the Retail Management Training Team and the Virtual Member Services department.
- Amy Reinhardt of Energy Plus Credit Union received the 2025 Emerging Leadership Award from the Indiana Credit Union League on October 3 during the Credit Union Gala & Awards Celebration, a special event during the League’s annual convention. After beginning her career as a part-time teller, Reinhardt has steadily advanced into leadership roles. After moving into the lending department, she was promoted to Loan Officer and then Lending Manager. Today, she is a key member of the Management Team, contributing to project planning, execution, and strategic initiatives for the $44.8 million credit union.
- Bryce Carden of Member Source Credit Union received the 2025 Emerging Leadership Award from the Indiana Credit Union League on October 3 during the Credit Union Gala & Awards Celebration, a special event during the League’s annual convention. Bryce began his career at the credit union as a marketing intern during his final semester of college. After graduation, he became Marketing Coordinator and later Experience Manager, overseeing marketing efforts and branch operations. Over the next several years, he completed CUNA Management School, earned certifications in compliance and financial counseling, and participated in the Indiana Credit Union League’s ignite program.
- David Brokaw, Board Chairman of Hoosier United Credit Union, is the recipient of the 2025 Leadership Achievement Award from the Indiana Credit Union League. He received the award at the League’s Credit Union Awards Celebration on October 3. Brokaw has been a dedicated credit union advocate since first joining IU Credit Union in 1979 while a graduate student at Indiana University. His involvement with Hoosier United Credit Union (formerly Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Credit Union) began in 1990, and he has since served on the credit committee, supervisory committee, and board of directors, including multiple terms as chairman.
- Rick Silvers, President/CEO of Centra CU, received the Professional Achievement Award from the Indiana Credit Union League on October 3 during the Gala & Awards Celebration, a special event during the League’s annual convention. Since becoming President and CEO in 2016, Rick has led the organization through more than 67% organic asset growth. Today, Centra has $2.2 billion in assets, serving over 150,000 members across four states, and has expanded with seven new branch locations—bringing credit union access to communities in Indiana counties that previously lacked a credit union presence.
- The African-American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC) will induct five credit union leaders into its African American Credit Union Hall of Fame during its Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony during the Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C. on March 3, 2026 at the Hamilton Hotel, sponsored by VISA. The 2026 honorees are:
- Creighton P. Blackwell, Chief Community Impact & Public Affairs Officer, Coastal Credit Union
- Leigh Brady, President and CEO, State Employees’ Credit Union of North Carolina
- Carolyn Jordan, Chief Growth Officer, Neighborhood Credit Union
- Sati Smith, Chief Executive Officer, Diversified Members Credit Union
- Max Villaronga, President/CEO, Raiz Federal Credit Union
Promotions:
- Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) named Cindy Peña Aleman assistant vice president and branch manager for its Southwest and Southwest Remote branches. In this role, Peña Aleman oversees daily branch operations, member services and community involvement activities for both locations.
