Meet the Team
Sarah Snell Cooke
Sarah has more than 20 years' experience in publishing, which is odd because she's only 25. Co-founder of The CU Connection, CEO of Cooke Empire, former publisher & editor-in-chief of Credit Union Times and Vice Chairman of the Board at APL FCU. She's badass at communications and on the volleyball court.
John Cooke
John is a middle-aged man living his best life. He's been a firefighter, a mechanic, a photographer, a woodworker, a husband, a father and now Gramps. He's a late bloomer on the socials, rapidly learning the publishing business, knows more about credit unions than he ever thought possible, and is co-founder of The Credit Union Connection.
William Wille
Will spent 17 years with the Illinois League, took a 10 year detour through healthcare associations, and is back as our managing editor. When not hunting rogue Oxford commas, he’s in the woods, working out or curating playlists from U2 to 80's hair metal (no regrets). He's here to remind us not to take ourselves (or our headlines) too seriously.
Henry C. Meier, Esq.
Henry Meier, Esq., has broad knowledge at the nexus of law, regulatory compliance and politics. Prior to starting his practice, Henry served as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the New York Credit Union Association. He's joined The CU Connection as our chief legal/ legislative/ regulatory/all things CUs correspondent!
Jackie Brown
With 23 combined years in credit unions and marketing, Jackie Brown knows what happens when strategy gets skipped. A former creative director turned advisor, she helps leaders map before they move—strengthening decision-making so teams think together before acting. Off the clock, she enjoys reading, watercolors, golf, and gardening.
