Reliant CU donates $1,250 to help local students and families

Reliant Credit Union was proud to contribute $1,250 to Wayne County Community Schools, highlighting Reliant’s continued commitment to supporting students, families, and the communities it proudly serves.

The donation was celebrated during a check presentation on Monday, February 2, at Sodus High School.

Pamela Heald, Reliant’s president & CEO, was joined by other credit union staff in presenting the donation to representatives from Wayne County Community Schools.

“At Reliant Credit Union, we believe strong communities start with investing in our students,” said Ms. Heald. “Wayne County Community Schools provides necessary programs that support learning beyond the classroom, and we’re proud to contribute to and participate in their work helping young people thrive during the school year and throughout the summer.” In addition to the monetary contribution, Reliant is proud to provide free financial education classes through the program.

Wayne County Community Schools develops collaborative programs centered at schools that expand into the community to help young people and families learn, grow, and succeed. Reliant’s contribution will support their after-school programming, summer enrichment, and more.

“On behalf of our entire Community Schools team, I want to sincerely thank Reliant Credit Union for always being a huge supporter of our students and families,” said Nelson Kise, Superintendent of Sodus Central School District. “With the uncertainty taking place in our world today, Reliant is the one constant that is consistently there for our community. This very generous donation will directly impact programming and services offered to our students and their families.”
