Three Credit Unions Announce Promotions; SchoolsFirst FCU President Honored with Legacy Leader Award

Three credit unions, including Addition Financial Credit Union and Chartway Credit Union, announced promotions within their organizations, and the President of SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union was recently honored with the Legacy Leader Award.

New Hires:

  • The Credit Union Association of New Mexico is pleased to welcome Christopher Burgos to the team as Advocacy Coordinator. In this role, Burgos will support the Association’s legislative, political, and regulatory advocacy efforts on behalf of New Mexico’s credit unions and the members they serve.

Recognitions:

  • Eglin Federal Credit Union is pleased to congratulate Assistant Vice President of Contact Center Operations Ruth Fennell for 35 years of service. Ruth currently resides in Niceville.
  • Jose Lara, president of SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, received the Legacy Leader Award from the National Association of Latino Credit Union Professionals (NLCUP) during the annual NLCUP conference themed Sembrando Sueños – Sowing Dreams – held in Long Beach, Calif., Feb. 1 – 4.
  • Marshall Community Credit Union (MCCU) has partnered with South Michigan Food Bank (SMFB) as the first organization to participate in SMFB’s Employee of the Month Giving Program, an initiative that connects employee recognition with charitable giving to support hunger relief across South Michigan. The partnership builds on MCCU’s ongoing support of SMFB by aligning the credit union’s internal Missional Leadership Awards with the Employee of the Month Giving Program. For each quarterly award recipient, MCCU makes a $250 donation to SMFB to recognize them on the Giving Tree. MCCU’s award recipients are selected by their peers. In 2025, six MCCU team members were recognized through the program: Alyssa Jones (Q1), Laura Van Dyke and Janell Quinn (Q2), Dan Montross (Q3), and Rhyan Zavala and Shamar Flowers (Q4).

Promotions:

  • Addition Financial Credit Union announced two promotions and additions to its senior management team. With these moves, the credit union strengthens the organization’s executive leadership as it continues to grow, expand its footprint, and advance its long-term strategic vision. The appointments reflect Addition Financial’s continued investment in experienced, mission-driven leaders who are helping guide the credit union through its next chapter. The following individuals hold new roles within the Addition Financial senior management team:
    • Joe MacLaren, General Counsel
    • Matt Walsh, Senior Vice President, Information Technology
  • Royal Credit Union (Royal) announces Anthony Cole as Branch Manager of its Hugo office. In this role, Cole will oversee all aspects of branch operations including coaching and development of his team, delivering exceptional service to Members, and maintaining operational excellence.
  • Chartway Credit Union announced leadership promotions and organizational updates that reflect the credit union’s continued growth and intentional alignment to better serve members, support teams, and strengthen enterprise performance.
    • Rob Keatts has been promoted from executive vice president and chief strategy officer to executive vice president and chief growth officer. In this expanded role, Keatts continues to lead Chartway’s enterprise strategy, innovation, and corporate development efforts while assuming responsibility for mortgage and consumer lending. His scope includes aligning growth strategies across lending, digital, marketing,technology, and strategic initiatives to drive sustainable performance and strong member outcomes. This new role is designed to strengthen connections across teams, accelerate execution, and ensure growth priorities remain closely tied to member needs and long-term business performance goals.
    • Ross Dundlow has been promoted to senior vice president of risk management. In this role, Dundlow provides enterprise-wide leadership across credit risk, fraud, compliance, enterprise risk management, information security, and business continuity. He partners closely with executive leadership to strengthen risk governance, support regulatory readiness, and enable responsible growth while protecting member and organizational assets.
    • Stephanie Harney has been promoted to senior vice president of member experience. Harney leads Chartway’s member care and contact center operations across key service channels, including voice, chat, video banking, and interactive teller machines. Her role focuses on delivering consistent, intuitive experiences that strengthen member satisfaction, loyalty, and retention while supporting membership growth and enterprise performance.
    • Daniel Drehoff has been promoted to vice president of financial planning. Drehoff leads enterprise financial planning, forecasting, profitability analysis, and long-term financial modeling. Serving as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, he translates financial insights into actionable guidance that supports disciplined investment decisions, balance sheet strength, and sustainable growth.
    • Jill Edsall has been promoted to vice president of talent growth and readiness. In this role, Edsall leads enterprise learning and development, leadership readiness, and workforce capability strategies that support Chartway’s people-first culture and long-term organizational performance.

Appointments:

  • FORUM Credit Union welcomes six new members to its Advisory Council for 2026, joining ten returning members who will continue their service for another term. Established in 2012, the Advisory Council is comprised of FORUM members who are business owners and leaders. The Council meets quarterly to network and provide insights that shape FORUM’s products and services. “We are fortunate to have FORUM members who are passionate about our cooperative – they genuinely have pride in being a member and want their Credit Union to prosper,” noted Doug True, FORUM CEO.
