The Credit Union Impact Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2027 Kelsie Davis Memorial Leadership Journey Scholarship, a two-year development program for emerging leaders in the credit union movement.
The scholarship was created in memory of Kelsie Davis and reflects what she cared about most: leadership, mentorship, professional growth, and the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People.” Recipients get a chance to sharpen their leadership skills, widen their professional networks, and pick up experiences that can fuel their careers within the movement.
What the Program Includes
Training runs through The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates and is spread across two years:
- Year one:Â EMERGE and Leadership College
- Year two:Â The Executive Institute
Think of it as a built-in progression. Nobody gets dropped into the deep end without a lesson first.
Who Should Apply
The program is aimed at emerging professionals who show leadership potential and a real commitment to both their own credit union and the broader movement. Applicants should also want to keep building their skills and widen their perspective as leaders.
Bobbi Grady, Executive Director of the Credit Union Impact Foundation, framed the scholarship as an investment in what comes next. “Investing in emerging leaders is one of the most meaningful ways we can strengthen the future of the credit union movement,” she said. “The Kelsie Davis Memorial Leadership Journey Scholarship allows us to honor Kelsie’s legacy by giving promising leaders the opportunity to learn, grow, build meaningful relationships, and discover their potential. We encourage emerging leaders who are ready to take the next step in their leadership journey to apply.”
If you’re ready for that next step, the application window is open now.
