Honor Credit Union Announces 2025 Free Community Shred Days

shred days

Honor Credit Union, in partnership with Data Guardian and Marquette County Solid Waste Management Authority, is excited to unveil its 2025 Free Community Shred Day schedule. These free events provide a secure and convenient way for community members to safely dispose of sensitive documents, such as tax forms and paperwork containing personal information, while also promoting environmental sustainability.

Honor’s Community Shred Days not only help protect against identity theft but also contribute to a greener future by ensuring shredded materials are properly recycled. By participating, communitymembers can safely declutter their homes while helping reduce waste in local landfills.

Each event will operate as a drive-thru service, where Honor team members will assist in collecting documents for shredding. While shredding will not take place on-site, all materials will be securely transported and destroyed by Honor’s trusted partners, Data Guardian and Marquette County Solid Waste Management Authority. To ensure efficiency, each household is asked to limit shredding to 10 boxes or bags per event.

Honor Credit Union is committed to making a positive impact in the communities it serves, and Free Community Shred Days are just one way the credit union fosters security, sustainability, and localengagement. Events will continue as scheduled or until shred trucks reach capacity. Dates and locations are subject to change.
