21 student members each receive $4,000 to support tuition, books, and educational expenses for the 2025–2026 school year
The Affinity Plus Foundation is proud to announce that it has awarded $84,000 in scholarships to 21 student members across Minnesota for the 2025-2026 school year. Each recipient will receive a $4,000 scholarship to help offset the cost of tuition, books, and other educational expenses.
This year, the Foundation awarded 20 General Foundation Scholarships to primary student members of Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, continuing its mission to invest in the education and future of Minnesota’s youth.
In addition, the Foundation introduced the Michael J. “Lefty” Larson Future Teacher Scholarship, honoring the legacy of long-time Affinity Plus Board Chair Michael J. “Lefty” Larson. This $4,000 scholarship was awarded to McKinna McKinney, a student member pursuing a degree in education.
“At the Affinity Plus Foundation, we believe that investing in our student members is an investment in the future of our communities,” said Jacquie Twedt, Board Chair of the Affinity Plus Foundation. “We’re proud to stand alongside these driven and inspiring students as they pursue their educational goals, and we can’t wait to see the impact they will make in the years to come.”
