Protect Yourself and Loved Ones from Scams This Holiday Season on November 12 in East Hartford & Online
As the holiday season approaches, so does an increase in financial scams targeting consumers, especially seniors. To help protect the community, American Eagle Financial Credit Union is hosting a free, three-hour “Fraud Seminar & Resource Event” on Wednesday, November 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the American Eagle Financial Center in East Hartford.
This event combines brief expert presentations with a resource fair, allowing attendees to speak directly with representatives from local, state, and federal agencies about preventing and responding to scams. Experts will share insights on the latest scams targeting seniors, tips for avoiding them, and next steps for victims of financial fraud.
This event is free and open to the public, with light refreshments, giveaways, and valuable fraud prevention resources. Advance registration is required.
