American Heritage Credit Union Donates More Than 10,000 Pounds of Food and Gives $50,000 to Local Community Organizations

American Heritage’s Efforts Came in Time for Thanksgiving and Winter Holidays

American Heritage Credit Union (“American Heritage”) is proud to have collected more than 10,000 pounds of food to donate to local food pantries and community organizations through its 12th annual Spirit of Giving Food Drive. Additionally, American Heritage donated $50,000 to these organizations to support their missions.

Each American Heritage branch collected goods for a food bank or organization that directly supports families in the area the branch is located. Food banks and organizations who received donations from this year’s Spirit of Giving Food Drive included:

Bread of Heaven Food Pantry
Bryn Mawr Ave Church of God Food Pantry
Catholic Social Services Martha’s Choice Marketplace
Coventry Food Pantry
Daily Bread Community Food Pantry
Family Service Association of Bucks County Food Pantry
Food Bank of South Jersey
Gloucester County Pine Hill Rotary Club Food Pantry
Laurel House
Manna on Main Street
New Britain Baptist Church & Food Pantry
Pennridge Fish
Philabundance
Quakertown Food Pantry
Seeds of Hope Community Food Pantry
The Salvation Army Kroc Center
Share Food Program
Upper Merion Area Community Cupboard
Warminster Food Bank
Wayne Church Food Pantry

Due to increased community need and rising food insecurity, American Heritage associates worked quickly to deliver the donations to these food pantries and community organizations ahead of Thanksgiving and the winter holidays. Additionally, $20,000 was donated amongst these organizations to support their respective missions into 2026 and beyond.

American Heritage also donated $30,000 in ShopRite gift cards to ten Workplace Partners. These organizations are workplaces throughout American Heritage’s service area that provide credit union membership to their associates as an added benefit at no cost. This kind of gift is beneficial to these partners, as it allows them to buy essentials beyond food, such as diapers, personal care and hygiene items, and foods that fit their specific dietary, cultural, and personal needs. Workplace Partners that received this gift include:

Bristol Borough Fire and Police
Catholic Community Services
CORA
Gemma Services
Laurel House
Liberty Lutheran – West Philadelphia Senior Community Center
Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital
Partnership for Community Supports
Providence Center
Quality Progressions

“The drastic need for food this season was recognized by our entire American Heritage community, including our Board of Directors, associates, and members,” said Bruce K. Foulke, President & CEO of American Heritage Credit Union. “I am always so proud of the commitment we show to help keep food pantry shelves stocked, and to provide families in our communities with the resources they need. This is just one simple way we can help these organizations and their missions. On behalf of American Heritage, we are pleased to have made the holidays brighter for local families.”
