First Harvest Credit Union Brings Back Free Community Shredder Event

Credit Union’s Deptford Location Will Host September Community Event

First Harvest Credit Union (“First Harvest”) is hosting its upcoming Shredder Event on September 14, 2024, at its Deptford Corporate Center from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This free event is open to the community and First Harvest members, offering a secure method for disposing of documents and files to keep personal and financial information safe.

First Harvest has brought back the well-loved community Shredder Event in an effort to reinvest in the Southern New Jersey community. The event is on a first-come, first-served basis; all paper documents and statements will be accepted with a maximum of 3 boxes per vehicle. Unacceptable items include plastic, plastic bags, electronics, or metal.

In addition to Shredder Events, First Harvest also provides educational tools and resources for its members to learn about additional ways to keep their finances safe and the information secure. Resources include blogs like How to Protect Yourself from Financial Scams, educational content shared on its social media pages, and free online programs through MoneyEDU.

“We are committed to giving back to the Southern New Jersey community in ways beyond our financial product and service offerings,” stated First Harvest President & CEO, Mike Dinneen. “Through outreach initiatives that engage the community and provide local resources, like our upcoming free Shredder Event, we fortify First Harvest’s efforts of being a trusted financial partner.”
