FORUM Celebrates Scholarship and Grant Recipients

FORUM Credit Union recently held its tenth annual Foundation Summer Reception at the FORUM Events Center in Fishers, Indiana. This reception honors the Foundation’s educator grant and collegiate scholarship recipients. This year, the Foundation awarded fifteen educators, seven new scholarship students, and 20 prior year recipients who are renewing their scholarships.

The following educators received grants, in various amounts totaling $24,872, for their classrooms:
Melinda Anderson, Lowell Elementary School; Cassie Brooks, Brownsburg West Middle School; Courtney Chamberlin, North Elementary School; Molly Coffman, New Britton Elementary School; Amanda Cornet, Fishers Junior High School; Lauren Graham, Lawrence Central High School; Karen Gropp, Deer Creek Elementary School; Lori Hippensteel, Hamilton Heights High School; Ashley Jones, Center Grove High School; Jared Mackey, Plainfield High School; Kathryn McKinney, Bridgeport Elementary School; Andrea Nobbe, Thompson Crossing Elementary School; Alisha Owens, Whiteland Community High School; Tabatha Ramsey, Herron High School; Beth VanSlyke, North Salem Elementary School.

The following students received $5,000 collegiate scholarships, renewable for up to four years totaling $20,000 each: Charlie Epstein, Westfield High School; Jillian Harris, Ben Davis High School; Sullivan Kolb, Fishers High School; Samuel Landers, Purdue University; Connor McIlvaine, Guerin Catholic High School; Paige Merrill, Indiana University; Rachel Schwab, Pike High School.

Applications for educator grants are now open for the 2024/2025 school year. Educators in Marion and surrounding counties are encouraged to apply for classroom grants before September 1, 2024, and recipients will be announced by October 1, 2024. The application for collegiate scholarships will be available on October 1, 2024, and recipients will be announced in the spring of 2025. Teachers and students can apply online.
