Golden 1 Credit Union Named in Fast Company’s Third Annual List of Brands That Matter
Credit Union recognized in finance category for its impact on financial well-being
Golden 1 Credit Union (Golden 1) is pleased to announce it has been named to Fast Company’s 2023 list of Brands That Matter. Fast Company’s Brands That Matter, now in its third year, is the world’s leading program for showcasing brands that communicate and demonstrate brand purpose.
“Golden 1 is honored to be recognized amongst other top-tier brands making an impact in their respective industries,” said Donna Bland, President and CEO of Golden 1 Credit Union. “This recognition is further proof of our employees’ dedication to serving all Californians. We are committed to providing easy access to the financial solutions, resources, and support that our members and communities need to improve their well-being and create a more equitable and financially inclusive California.”
This year’s Brands That Matter list includes 165 companies and nonprofits that have built cultural relevance and impact through compelling branding and efforts that naturally extend their presence into the community. Honorees include large multinational conglomerates, small-but-mighty companies, and nonprofits that give people compelling reasons to be inspired and choose brands that matter and make a difference. Golden 1 is one of three honorees listed in the finance category as well as the only credit union recognized.
“This acknowledgement reflects Golden 1’s collective momentum and strength as we continue to grow, allowing us to support more members, give back to more neighbors, and expand access to even more Californians in the years ahead,” added Bland.
Fast Company editors judged each brand on relevancy, cultural impact, ingenuity, and business impact to compile the list. Bland is also now a member of the Fast Company Impact Council, an invitation-only collective of innovative leaders.
