Hawaii State FCU Donates $20,000 To Friends Of The Library Of Hawaii In Support Of 75th Annual Booksale

Hawaii State Federal Credit Union (Hawaii State FCU) has donated $20,000 to the Friends of the Library of Hawaii in support of the 75th Annual Booksale which is taking place at McKinley High School from June 15-23, 2024.

“Hawaii State FCU is honored to uphold our tradition of sponsoring the Friends of the Library’s annual book sale,” said Andrew Rosen, president and CEO of Hawaii State FCU. “Our ongoing support for the public library system across the state underscores our dedication to fostering financial literacy within our local community, from our keiki to kupuna.”

Hawaii State FCU has been the title sponsor of the Annual Friends of the Library of Hawaii Booksale since 2013. The credit union has donated nearly $300,000 to the Friends of the Library of Hawaii and has raised more than $100,000 in sales at the Annual Booksale through Hawaii State FCU’s members’ preview nights.

The 75th Annual Booksale is now open at the McKinley High School cafeteria and features more than 125,000 books in every category. The Booksale also features a selection of CDs, DVDs, comics and manga, as well as an eclectic selection of donated art, including modern art, prints from local artists, lithographs, and sculptures.
