Indiana State University Federal Credit Union Welcomes Brian Zuber as New President/CEO
Indiana State University Federal Credit Union (ISU FCU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Zuber as its next President and Chief Executive Officer. Zuber will officially join the credit union in early October, working closely with the current CEO, Sam Shanks, to ensure a smooth transition before her retirement later in the month.
“I am honored to have been selected as the next President and CEO of ISU FCU,” said Zuber. “I look forward to joining the current team and am excited about what we can accomplish together for ISU FCU members.”
Zuber comes to ISU FCU with extensive experience in the financial services industry. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at the Springfield, Illinois-based Heartland Credit Union. Before his role at Heartland Credit Union, Zuber held executive roles at Scott State Bank and Staley Credit Union. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and several professional certifications, including a Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE).

Sam Shanks, who has been with ISU FCU for over four decades, is leaving a legacy of commitment and excellence in service. Her contributions have been instrumental in the credit union’s growth and success, leaving the organization in a strong position for future advancement.
