Newly Built Texas Trust Credit Union Branch Opens in Southwest San Angelo

The intersection of FM 2288 and Sherwood Way is home to a new Texas Trust Credit Union branch, located in the H-E-B shopping center.

Community leaders from the city, chamber, and multiple civic organizations joined credit union executives as Texas Trust officially opened the branch and unveiled Shearwood, a new addition to San Angelo’s “ewe” sculptures.

Managed by Heather Collier, the credit union provides residents of San Angelo and Tom Green County a range of financial products and services designed to help them achieve a brighter financial future. The branch has a number of bilingual employees to serve Spanish-speaking members.

Members can manage all of their financial needs, including auto loans, mortgage services, investments and insurance, credit cards, and more through any of the modern free-standing universal teller stations. The newly built 4,000-square-foot space also offers private and semi-private spaces for consultations with member service representatives.

Members can also use the convenient drive-thru lanes or for 24/7 convenient access for routine transactions, there is a freestanding ATM canopy.

“We love the people in San Angelo and intend to continue to grow our presence here,” said Jim Minge, CEO of Texas Trust Credit Union. “While we offer all of our services online, we feel it is important to have an actual presence in the community, where we can be a part of it. This new branch will help us do that.”

The facility was designed by Oculus Inc. and built by St. Louis-based L. Keeley Construction.

The building fits beautifully into the southwest landscape with its Austin limestone, weathered wood with shading louvers and roof overhangs, and native xeriscaping on the exterior. Inside, visitors will find warm wood tones, an abundance of natural light, and a bright, airy lobby.

The ewe, Shearwood, was designed by Crystal Goodman. This is the13th ewe that she has painted in San Angelo. Shearwood features a design of the San Angelo cityscape with a Corsair plane flying in the distance. The plane symbolizes Texas Trust’s roots and presence in the city.
