Sikorsky Credit Union Employees Donate Food to The Sterling House Food Pantry

Sikorsky Credit Union recently donated 220 food items to the Sterling House Food Pantry in Stratford, CT.

This event was initiated by the Sikorsky Cares Committee to help individuals and families facing food insecurities in 2023.Employees donated nonperishable items, such as canned vegetables, boxed mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy and more to fill the shelves of the Sterling House Food Pantry at Thanksgiving time. The Sterling House has served generations of children and adults for almost 90 years. Some of their programs include a preschool, after school program, summer day camp, food pantry service and athletics.  

Amanda Meeson, Executive Director of Sterling House said,“Sikorsky Credit Union doesn’t miss an opportunity to support the Sterling House Community Center… and just in time! Before our annual Thanksgiving distribution, SCU delivered a cart full of food to add to our bounty! Thank you for the support of those in need in our community."
