ValleyStar Credit Union hosts National Site Selection Consultants in the Roanoke Region

ValleyStar Credit Union was pleased to host five nationally recognized site selection consultants at the ValleyStar Administrative Campus in Rocky Mount, Virginia. The meeting was arranged by the Roanoke Regional Partnership to showcase Roanoke and the many assets offered by the region for business attraction and expansion.

The site selection consultants represented nationally recognized companies such as Deloitte, Newmark Global, Cushman & Wakefield, and Atlas Insight, LLC. They are actively working on projects and expressed their interest in understanding the advantages of the region and gaining insights into developing and recruiting in the area.

“We were honored to be chosen to host the consultants on their tour of the Roanoke Region,” said Mike Warrell, ValleyStar CEO. “The region is a critical area location-wise and has a long list of factors that make it a desirable area to both work and live. I have lived all over the country, and this area is by far my favorite move.”

Rocky Mount was selected as the location of the ValleyStar Administrative Campus due to its proximity to both Martinsville, home of ValleyStar’s headquarters, and Roanoke, an “up and coming” area. Key factors that play a role in attracting talent to the area are exceptional healthcare opportunities, an affordable cost of living, beautiful natural surroundings, and a deep sense of community.

ValleyStar was honored to represent Franklin County and elaborate on what makes the area a great place to work. Franklin County provided essential backing for the development of the administrative campus by transferring the property to ValleyStar without any associated cost.
