Consumers Credit Union announces that construction has begun on a new ~1,200 square-foot office in Douglas, Michigan, located at 312 South Ferry Street.

The new Douglas/Saugatuck location, projected to open in mid-2026, will provide a comprehensive financial experience, including personal checking, savings, credit cards, mortgages, full-service lending and banking, investments and financial education.

“Breaking ground in Douglas/Saugatuck is about more than building a new office, it’s about strengthening our connection to the lakeshore communities,” said Scott Sylvester, Consumers’ president and CEO. “We’re committed to providing convenient, innovative banking solutions where our members live and work, and this new location is a big step toward that goal.”

The location will feature Consumers’ innovative TellerPlus+ technology in both the lobby and drive-thru lane. It will also include a complimentary coffee bar, wireless banking stations with Wi-Fi and dedicated spaces for loan and member services.

“This addition will make eight offices along the lakeshore from South Haven to Saugatuck, then up through Holland, Grand Haven to Muskegon,” continued Sylvester.

Partners on the project include Bosch Architecture and GDK, continuing a trusted collaboration that has delivered multiple successful office projects for Consumers.
