The Defense Credit Union Council, DCUC, has joined leading financial trade associations in issuing a joint statement welcoming the bipartisan agreement to end the federal government shutdown. The statement shares the importance of restoring stability for federal employees, service members, and their families, as well as ensuring continuity across the financial system.
“We are encouraged to see bipartisan cooperation to reopen the government and restore much- needed stability for our nation’s service members, federal employees, and their families,” says Anthony Hernandez, DCUC President/CEO. “Credit unions serving the defense community stand ready to continue supporting their members as operations return to normal.”
Jason Stverak, DCUC Chief Advocacy Officer, adds, “This agreement is a vital step toward restoring confidence across the defense community.
