evolve FCU hosted its 4th Social Purpose event of 2025 Spooktacular Screening at the movies event throughout the month of October. For the past four years evolve has hosted private movie screenings for some of the local children’s organizations. This year was no exception as evolve hosted seven private screenings at Cinemark during October. Each screening included up to 47 movie tickets with a Refreshment drink and popcorn per person. The films that were shown for the screenings included Bad Guys 2, Tron: Ares and Sketch respectively.

The first Spooktacular Screening kicked off on October 7th where Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home got to enjoy their screening. On October 8th the second screening took place where the Child Crisis Center took their little ones for a spooktacular time at the movies. On October 9th the Center Against Sexual & Family Violence enjoyed their screening, and on October 10th the Children Miracle Network families enjoyed their movie. On October 11th Big Brothers Big Sisters enjoyed Tron: Ares it was a special moment as one of the mother’s got emotional when she found out that evolve FCU had everything covered for them as she stated she did not have enough funds to buy the drinks and the popcorn for her children. The screenings concluded on October 18th with two private screenings for the Make-A-Wish and Candlelighters families. Everyone was grateful for the movies as they often don’t get to do outings like these.

For many of the kids that attended these private screenings, it was their first time attending a movie theater. Primarily because for many of these families, it is out of their budget or some of the children need special care due to medical reasons. These events wouldn’t be possible without the wonderful staff at Cinemark Cielo Vista 14 & XD, their corporate offices and the management and wonderful staff there at the movie theater.

As evolve continues its social purpose for the remainder of 2025, they look forward to continue to create new and cheerful memories for the children of the El Paso and Las Cruces community.
