Financial Plus team presents $65,000 donation to Jamie Gaskin, CEO of the United Way of Genesee County, along with Elizabeth Williams, director of development, and Lindsay Crawford, development coordinator.
Financial Plus Credit Union is proud to announce a record-breaking donation of $65,000 to the United Way.
The donation stems from an employee contribution campaign and will benefit the United Way of Genesee, Shiawassee, Saginaw, and Bay Counties. This marks the second consecutive year Financial Plus has been the top-contributing financial institution for a local United Way employee campaign.
The campaign received its highest participation to date, with 201 employees contributing across the organization. Overall, more than $30,000 will be donated to the United Way solely through employee contributions. Financial Plus has pledged to match all contributions, bringing the total donation to $65,000.
“Our annual United Way campaign is always a meaningful time for us. Seeing our team come together each year to support nonprofits in the communities we serve reflects the heart of who we are, and I’m proud of the support they continue to show,” said DeAnna Wallace, Chief Human Resources Officer and SVP of Member Experience at Financial Plus Credit Union.
“Once again, the team at Financial Plus Credit Union continues to amaze us with their generosity and community spirit. This effort will assist hundreds of local families with a Hand UP at a time when basic needs like food and shelter continue to rise in cost. We are grateful the team at Financial Plus Credit Union has answered the call to share with families in need,” said Jamie Gaskin, CEO of the United Way of Genesee County.
The United Way advocates producing better results within the community. They work with partners to surround children, individuals and families with the resources they need to succeed at all stages of their lives.
