First Harvest Credit Union Recognized For Excellence in Community Engagement and Marketing Efforts

First Harvest Awarded by Marketing Association of Credit Unions for Community Givebacks, Brand Awareness, & Social Media Marketing

First Harvest Credit Union (“First Harvest”) has been nationally recognized with multiple honors by the Marketing Association of Credit Unions (“MAC”) for excellence in credit union brand awareness, as well as social media marketing and community engagement efforts for the New Jersey Credit Unions Food Cooperative. The Marketing Association of Credit Unions hosts the MAC Awards and Conference each year to award excellence in credit union marketing, business development initiatives, and community engagement.

First Harvest received three MAC awards for the following categories for assets size of $500 Million or Less:

  • Gold Social Media Award for the 2024 New Jersey Credit Union Food Cooperative
  • Silver Community Engagement Award for the 2024 New Jersey Credit Union Food Cooperative
  • Bronze Non-Commercial Video Award for the Credit Union Culture & Brand Awareness Video Series

First Harvest was awarded the Gold Social Media Award and Silver Community Engagement Award for their marketing, earned media, and social media campaigns surrounding the New Jersey Credit Union Food Cooperative. First Harvest created the marketing campaign for the launch and ongoing efforts of this co-sponsored initiative, which took place for the first time in the fall of 2024. Partnering with EdiFi Federal Credit Union, Affinity Federal Credit Union, and over 20 additional New Jersey-based credit unions, this initiative aimed to address New Jersey’s rising food insecurity rate and help provide essential food items to families and food pantries throughout the state.

First Harvest was also awarded the Bronze Non-Commercial Video Award for their Credit Union Culture & Brand Awareness Video Series. This series of reels/shorts aimed to help bolster First Harvest’s online presence and improve their overall brand awareness, offer a glimpse inside the credit union’s culture, and help tell the First Harvest story.
