The two co-branded Affinity Debit Cards will help raise funds for the newly opened Sageview and Orion High Schools
Gesa today announced the launch of two new co-branded Affinity Debit Cards to support the Pasco School District. With every swipe, Gesa members will help raise funds that directly benefit Sageview High School and Orion High School.
“We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with Gesa Credit Union to include new Affinity Debit Cards for Sageview and Orion High Schools,” said Michelle Whitney, Superintendent of Pasco School District. “As these two new schools open their doors for the first time, this program offers families, staff, and community members a unique way to show their school spirit while directly supporting student opportunities. Every swipe of an affinity card helps fund leadership development, academic enrichment, and extracurricular activities that empower students to thrive. This partnership represents a shared commitment to investing in the future of Pasco youth.”
With this launch, Gesa now offers six Affinity Debit Cards supporting high schools in the Pasco School District. The expansion builds on the credit union’s deep commitment to local students and educators, which also includes student-run High School Credit Union branches at Pasco High School, Chiawana High School and Delta High School.
“It’s an exciting time for the community and Pasco School District as these brand-new schools welcome students for the first time,” said Brandon Allison, AVP of Community Impact at Gesa Credit Union. “Gesa is honored to work alongside the district and its educators to help students grow both inside and outside the classroom. These schools will be places where students discover their passions, build relationships, and gain the confidence to navigate their financial futures in every stage of life. Supporting that journey is a responsibility we value deeply.” Since its launch in 2015, the Affinity Debit Card Program has generated more than $2.2 million for partner school districts and universities across the Pacific Northwest. This year marked the program’s largest annual giveback to date, with a record $440,000 awarded. Of that amount, the Pasco School District received more than $68,000 from funds generated during the 2024-2025 school year.
Gesa’s Co-Branded Affinity Debit Cards are available exclusively at Gesa Credit Union and are free to Gesa members with a checking account. There is no fee for members to switch their card to any of the school designs.
