Zeal Credit Union (“Zeal”) of Livonia, MI, announced today that it has successfully completed the acquisition of Gogebic Range Bank following receipt of all required regulatory approvals. Effective January 1, 2026, Gogebic Range Bank officially became Zeal Credit Union, marking a significant milestone in Zeal’s strategic growth across Michigan.
The transaction brought together two Michigan-based financial institutions with a shared commitment to community, personalized service, and long-term financial well-being of the communities they serve. Zeal now holds over $1 billion in assets and will have an expanded footprint in Northern Michigan to better serve members with a total of 17 branches. Zeal has retained all the employees and all branches while investing in the local communities formerly served by Gogebic Range Bank.
