The Illinois Credit Union League (ICUL) is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 state-level America’s Credit Unions Awards. These awards honor Illinois credit unions for their outstanding work in financial education, social responsibility, and for embodying the credit union philosophy of “people helping people.”
The winners will be recognized and celebrated at the ICUL Annual Convention Celebration Lunch on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Hilton Chicago.
The America’s Credit Unions Awards recognize the powerful impact credit unions have on their members and communities. The three categories for recognition are:
- Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award: Recognizes a credit union for its exemplary community projects and charitable activities.
- Louise Herring Philosophy-in-Action Award: Honors a credit union for its practical application of the credit union philosophy within its daily operations.
- Desjardins Financial Education Award: Celebrates leadership in financial literacy initiatives for both youth and adult members and non-members.

- Asset Size $250M-$1B: Earthmover Credit Union for its Community Giveback project
2025 State-Level Louise Herring 1st Place Award Winners Category:
- Asset Size More than $1B: Scott Credit Union for its Affordable Homebuying Initiative
- Asset Size $250M-$1B: Revity Credit Union for its Revity CU VITA Program
2025 State-Level Desjardins Financial Education 1st Place Award Winners Category in the Adult Category:
- Asset Size More than $1B: Great Lakes Credit Union for its Housing and Financial Counseling
- Asset Size $250M-$1B: Streator Onized Credit Union for its Financial Wellness for All: Meeting Adults Where They Are program
2025 State-Level Desjardins Financial Education 1st Place Award Winners Category in the Youth Category:
- Asset Size $250M-$1B: Revity Credit Union for its Credit Union P.H.D (Philosophy, History, and Dedication) to the Movement Program
- Asset Size $50-$250M: Rock Valley Credit Union for its Financial Literacy program
