This holiday season, MSU Federal Credit Union(MSUFCU) members, employees, and the community can embrace the spirit of giving by participating in MSUFCU’s annual Giving Tree, which benefits local nonprofits and youth throughout Michigan and Illinois.

“The Giving Tree reminds us how much good can happen when a community comes together with compassion,” said Arianna Ridderbusch, MSUFCU Vice President of Community Impact. “Each gift represents a moment of kindness that carries far beyond the holidays. It strengthens families, uplifts our neighbors, and reflects the true spirit of the season.”

Last year, employees, members, and the community donated 450 gifts and $770 across seven community organizations. This included holiday gifts for 90 kids filled with items like hairbrushes, batteries, towels, bottles, hats, gloves, coloring books, crafts, and more.

“These are items that not only bring joy during the holidays but also help our partners continue their missions throughout the year,” Ridderbusch said.

This year, the annual project is currently underway and running through Nov. 22. Those interested in participating have the option to select a tag from a Giving Tree in any Michigan or Illinois full-service branch, purchase the gift listed, and return it to the Credit Union; shop via wish lists; or make a monetary donation in a branch.

The nonprofits being supported this year include:
