New Identity Reinforces NV, CA, and UT Partnership Alliance
Nevada\’s Credit Unions was unveiled today by President and CEO Scott Simpson in Carson City, NV, marking a significant milestone for the newly rebranded trade association as he spotlighted its refreshed identity, updated vision, and powerful symbol of the credit union spirit in the Silver State.
Announced during this morning’s legislative briefing for credit union leaders at the 2025 Nevada Government Relations Rally (GRR) before they visited lawmakers in the state capitol, the brand launch speaks volumes of the collaborative philosophy driving credit unions in the state. It also underscores the vision behind the groundbreaking partnership alliance announced last year between Nevada’s Credit Unions, the California Credit Union League, and Utah’s Credit Unions.
“Our rollout of ‘Nevada’s Credit Unions’ is a testament to our combined strength, reflecting our commitment to empowering credit unions and advancing their unified goals in Carson City and across Nevada,” Simpson said. “Working with our credit union leaders, today’s announcement speaks to the innovation, dedication, and trust-building within the communities they serve. The positive energy and productive discussions from our Nevada Government Relations Rally, combined with this exciting brand launch, demonstrate the value of our partnership alliance with California and Utah, solidifying our commitment to serving the advocacy needs of local credit unions — so they can serve the financial needs of Nevadans.”
Scott Arkills, Chair of Nevada’s Credit Unions and CEO of Silver State Schools Credit Union, said the positive momentum generated by today’s forward-looking brand launch — coupled with this year’s powerful Nevada Government Relations Rally — reinforces the strength and strategic alignment of the tri-state alliance. Historically, Nevada’s Credit Unions and the California Credit Union League have benefited from a three decades-long partnership since 1996, built on the foundation of a shared management and operating agreement.
“Nevada’s Credit Unions is a mutual statement of our solidarity and shared vision,” Arkills said. “It signifies our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of member credit unions and the communities they serve. We’re excited that this new brand positions us for continued growth in the coming years and reflects our credit unions’ foundational principles and worldview.”
Credit Union Values at the Heart of New Nevada Brand
The Nevada\’s Credit Unions brand embodies collaboration, reliability, innovation, growth, and trust — all values at the heart of the credit union philosophy and the tri-state partnership alliance announced last year. The unique alliance between Nevada, California, and Utah was created to amplify the collective voice of credit unions, a model distinct from traditional mergers that emphasizes shared resources while preserving local control and advocacy. It strengthens the ability of each league to deliver superior state advocacy, ensuring the unique needs of credit unions in each state are addressed effectively.
For credit unions in Nevada, the Nevada’s Credit Unions visual brand identity is a harmonious blend of vibrant accents inspired by the Silver State’s diverse landscapes. It visually represents the organization\’s deep roots and commitment, emphasizing the friendly, community-focused nature of local credit unions, diverse culture, and laid-back lifestyle. It’s a symbol of the dedication to empowering credit union members with the tools they need to succeed, providing personalized financial education and offering innovative products and services tailored to unique, local needs.
Altogether, the new brand launch and the Nevada Government Relations Rally reflect Nevada’s Credit Unions’ distinct history, as well as the promise for an exceptional future. The rally provided a vital platform for credit union leaders to engage directly with state legislators and their staff, building relationships and fostering open communication channels. The event is held every two years due to the state’s legislative calendar.
