New Orleans Firemen’s Federal Credit Union (NOFFCU) announced today that it has been named a finalist in multiple categories of the annual Anthem Awards—an event that honors the impact of mission-driven organizations worldwide.

The credit union is up for three awards: two for product innovation, and another for community engagement. Winners are selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, in addition to a separate public vote which is open now.

“Recognition like this is less about winning awards, and more about highlighting the credit union difference on a global scale,” said Judy DeLucca, NOFFCU’s president and CEO.

“This is what credit unions do, each and every day: we seek out the communities that are overlooked and underserved, and find new, innovative ways to reach and support them. Being a finalist in not one but three categories is an incredible honor, and it gives us three times the opportunity to showcase what our system is all about.”

NOFFCU’s innovative program to freeze loan payments and drop interest rates down to zero for members undergoing cancer treatment is a finalist in the product innovation category.

Similarly, its work to support the Life Over Debt initiative—an independent program aiming to inspire similar financial solutions for cancer patients and their families—has also been selected as an example of product innovation.

Lastly, the credit union’s support and leadership within the Faith Fund—a multi-organizational partnership focused on providing financial support and counseling to some of the most impoverished communities in Louisiana—is a finalist in the community engagement category.

Supporters can vote online at AnthemAwards.com/PublicVoting through October 30, 2025. All winners will be announced on November 18, 2025.
