RCU Foundation’s $125K power play for Chippewa Youth

The Royal Credit Union Foundation (RCU Foundation) has announced a $125,000 gift to the Chippewa Youth Hockey Association.

This contribution supported rink upgrades at the organization’s ice arena.

“The RCU Foundation’s generous donation to the Chippewa Youth Hockey Association’s Chiller Project will have far reaching effects for many years into the future” said Steve Gibbs, President of the Chippewa Youth Hockey Association. “The donation helped pay for the new compressors and cooling system, enabling CYHA to continue to provide year-round ice for the members of CYHA and the community. This would not have been possible without the support of the RCU Foundation.”

“At Royal Credit Union Foundation, our purpose is to make a meaningful difference in the lives and communities we serve,” said John Sackett, RCU Foundation President. “This ice arena is more than a building—it’s a safe, inclusive space that brings people together across generations, builds confidence and lifelong skills for youth, and strengthens the overall quality of life in the Chippewa Falls community.”

The gift reflects the RCU Foundation’s continued focus on strengthening communities through meaningful local investments.

The RCU Foundation (Foundation) was established in 2012 to support organizations and initiatives in communities where Royal Credit Union operates in western Wisconsin and eastern Minnesota.
