Reliant Credit Union recently celebrated the heart of the credit union philosophy, “people helping people,” through its first-ever Spend, Save, Give Day. This day was a special member appreciation event designed to promote smart spending, intentional saving, and community giving—and spread a little cheer around the holidays!
As part of the celebration, 40 members were randomly selected to receive a unique Spend, Save, Give Day prize package, which included three components:
- $100 to Spend – A gift card to enjoy however they chose
- $100 to Save – Deposited into a new Starter Certificate with a term selected by the member
- $50 to Give – Donated by Reliant to a local nonprofit chosen by the winner
“Spend, Save, Give Day is a reflection of what it means to be part of a credit union community,” said Pamela Heald, President & CEO of Reliant Credit Union. “We’re proud to celebrate our members during the holiday season, while also supporting the local organizations that make a meaningful difference across the Finger Lakes and Rochester regions.”
Members directed their charitable donation to one of the following community organizations:
- The Arc Monroe
- The Arc Ontario
- The Arc Wayne
- The Humane Society of Wayne County
- Thrive to Survive
With a donation of $2,000 spread across five charities, Reliant is looking forward to deepening its commitment to meaningful community partnerships.
