Serve Credit Union Brings Together Membership Through Local Events

Serve Credit Union continues to strengthen membership through different local events designed to bring members together and show appreciation for those who serve and support our communities.

In October, Serve Credit Union hosted Coffee with a Cop, welcoming local law enforcement officers to stop by their Urbandale branch for coffee and donuts. The morning gave everyone the chance to visit, slow down, and enjoy their breakfast.

“Our mission is to serve those who serve us,” said Hayley Vanderpool, Marketing & Member Events Coordinator. “Coffee with a cop is a great way for our credit union to connect and show our appreciation.”

Following Coffee with a Cop, Serve Credit Union hosted its Annual Fall Tailgate, a yearly tradition that gathers members, staff, and their families for lunch. In addition to the meal, there are games, raffles, and time for everyone to enjoy the fun, family-friendly setting.

“Our annual tailgate is one of our highlights of the year,” said Serve Credit Union CEO Jami Weems. “It is a chance to celebrate our members and the community that makes Serve Credit Union what it is.”

As the year continues, Serve Credit Union looks forward to hosting its 7th Annual Santa Claus. This tradition reflects the credit union’s spirit of “people helping people,” supporting deserving families within its membership. From November 10 to December 19, Serve will collect gifts and donations at its Urbandale and Downtown Des Moines branches to help brighten the holidays for a selected family.
