Credit unions serve millions of members across the country. Consequently, with all the $h!t you go through every day, credit union leaders have a lot to say!

And you deserve to be heard.

This is why we created our Advocacy Section at The Credit Union Connection for you. If there’s something your credit union needs to say, you can find where and when you should say it right here!

Our Your Advocacy page helps keeps you up to date with legislative and regulatory actions affecting credit unions. It also includes opportunities and resources for credit unions to share information with the media. Finally, we included causes that you and we share, like CUs4Kids and more!

Regulations

Regulatory actions have rarely been as in flux as they are right now. The NCUA has just one board member, and the current administration is working toward dismantling the CFPB. Credit union leaders must take their democratic (little d) duties to heart and give feedback and comments on the various issues that come up, such as the CFPB’s comment request regarding international wires and NCUA’s invitation to credit unions and other stakeholders for feedback on operations and initiatives. Learn what regulations may be coming down the pipeline and how they will affect your credit union’s everyday operations.

We share information on what a particular piece of legislation does and what effect it will have on credit unions. The Credit Union Connection Advocacy page also provides links so you can dig into the nitty-gritty of each bill. Some even have links on how to contact your members of Congress!
