Three Credit Unions Announce Promotions; Indiana Credit Union League Names Board Officers for 2025-2026

Three credit unions, including People’s Credit Union and Tinker Federal Credit Union, announced promotions within their organizations, and the Indiana Credit Union League held the election for its Board Officers at the Indiana League Convention.

New Hires:

  • Royal Credit Union (Royal) announces Ryan Foster as Director of Mortgage Sales. In this position, Foster will oversee strategic planning, operational efficiencies, and growth at Royal and Lake Area Mortgage-A Division of Royal Credit Union, while ensuring all aspects of the mortgage origination process, from application to closing, are handled in a timely and efficient manner. 
  • Chartway Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Jhae Smith as its new Vice President of Commercial Lending. As Vice President of Commercial Lending, Smith will lead Chartway’s commercial and small business lending strategy, overseeing loan production, portfolio performance, and risk management. She will play a key role in expanding Chartway’s presence in the commercial lending space, driving sustainable growth, and delivering innovative financial solutions to businesses across the credit union’s footprint.
  • An expansion of its Greenville-based team, Family Trust Federal Credit Union (Family Trust) welcomed Christy Ross as a mortgage loan officer for its 1800 Laurens Road branch. Ross, who previously held roles at Ag South Farm Credit, BNC Bank, Regent Bank and CPM Federal Credit Union, brings 30 years of financial industry experience to the Family Trust team. In her new role, Ross will assist the credit union’s members in navigating their homeownership journey, from purchasing to refinancing.

Promotions:

  • People’s Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotion of Kyleen Driscoll to Head of Member Operations. Reporting to Cassandra Anderson, Head of the Middletown Branch. Ms. Driscoll will oversee the daily operations of the branch, ensuring an exceptional member experience. Her new responsibilities focus on team coaching and development while monitoring branch loan functions and overall operations.
  • Shannon Morneault has been an integral part of Luminate since 2007, beginning her career as an Accountant before moving into support of the ATM/Card program, where she served credit unions across Louisiana until the program’s transition. In 2018, she took on expanded responsibilities by overseeing CU Cooperative Branching (CUCB) operations, ensuring seamless service and support for participating credit unions in Louisiana’s shared branching network.In her new role as Director of Operations, Shannon will continue to lead shared branching while also serving as the primary point of contact for Luminate’s internal operating system. This system plays a vital role in equipping Luminate to provide member credit unions with the tools, resources, and information they need to thrive.
  • Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) is proud to share three leadership updates in northeastern Oklahoma:
    • Amanda Smith has been promoted to assistant vice president and branch manager at TFCU’s Tulsa branch, bringing more than 20 years of financial services experience and over a decade of service with TFCU.
    • Brent Carlow has been named assistant vice president and branch manager for TFCU’s new Owasso branch, drawing on a broad background in lending, retail and compliance.
    • Ashley Avanessian has been promoted to vice president and regional director of branch operations – east, overseeing branch operations and member service strategies across eastern Oklahoma.
  • Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) is happy to share three senior leadership updates:
    • Jennalee Hunter has been named senior vice president of human resources, overseeing hiring, staff development, employee relations, compensation and benefits.
    • Brian Peterson has been named senior vice president of business services, leading business lending operations and account services for business members.
    • Andrew Akard has been named senior vice president of facilities, overseeing construction, maintenance, insurance and procurement.
  • Bay Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the promotion of Brooke Morley to Senior Vice President, Chief Lending and Product Officer (SVP, CLPO). In this expanded role, Ms. Morley will lead the strategic vision, strategy, and execution for the Credit Union’s consumer, mortgage, indirect, deposit, card, and servicing portfolios. She will focus on delivering innovative financial products and services while ensuring exceptional member experiences, regulatory compliance, and sound risk management practices.

Appointments:

  • The Indiana Credit Union League held its statewide Convention Oct. 1-3 at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis and celebrated its 100th year. There were more than 500 in attendance from credit unions representing 83 percent of Indiana’s 2.8 million credit union members. Officers were elected at the League’s reorganizational meeting on Oct. 3. They are:
    • Chairman: Bryan Price, Indiana University CU, Bloomington
      Vice Chair: Cari Palmer, Energy Plus CU, Indianapolis
      Board Secretary: Andy Mattingly, FORUM CU, Fishers
      Treasurer: Brett Rinker, Thrive FCU, Muncie
    • Also serving on the League Board are Nina Baker, ProFed FCU, Fort Wayne; Jill Banning, REGIONAL FCU, Hammond; Jason Ford, Harvester Financial CU, Indianapolis; Karen Madry, Afena FCU, Marion; and Amy Sink, Interra CU, Goshen.
  • The Board of Directors of All One Credit Union (AOCU) voted to appoint Adilson “Addy” Lima, as a director. Lima has worked as the staff and IT auditor for the Hanover Insurance Company since 2018, advancing to Senior Staff Auditor in 2023. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Nichols College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Corporate Finance from the University of Massachusetts.
