Local Credit Union Collecting Donations to Support Those Affected by Recent Kerr County Flooding
TruWest® Credit Union is donating $10,000 to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund in response to the July 4 Texas flooding. TruWest will also be collecting donations of essential items at all three of its Texas locations throughout the end of July.
“We are deeply saddened by the recent floods and are fully committed to supporting our Texas communities during this challenging time,” said Rachel Caballero, community development and PR manager at TruWest. “Our focus remains on providing meaningful relief and assistance wherever possible.”
Contributions of the following essential items are being sought:
- Hygiene products: Toiletries, diapers, baby wipes, feminine hygiene products, soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste
- Clothing: New or gently used clothing, socks and underwear of all sizes
- Bedding: New or gently used blankets, towels and lightweight bedding
- Pet Food: Dry and canned food, especially for cats and dogs
- Pet Supplies: Food and water dishes, pet-safe shampoo and deodorizer, grooming supplies, potty pads, litter boxes and litter
- Other: Trash bags, bleach, brooms, shovels, first aid supplies, toilet paper and paper towels
Donations may be delivered to any of TruWest’s Texas locations, including Legend Oaks or Howard Lane in Austin, or the Round Rock branch. All locations operate Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are closed Sundays. On Saturdays, Howard Lane and Legend Oaks are open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. while Round Rock remains closed.
