Two credit unions, including Unitus Community Credit Union, announced promotions within their organizations, and LAFCU‘s CFO was named a 2025 Notable Leader in Finance.
New Hires:
- BrightBridge Credit Union (BrightBridge) is proud to welcome Frank Call as its new Vice President, Head of Commercial Lending. With a 25-year career in banking and finance and a long-standing commitment to community involvement, Call brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the BrightBridge team.
- Columbine Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Gennifer Garner has been appointed Vice President of Operations. In this role, Garner will lead the charge to streamlining internal processes, elevating member service, and driving operational excellence across all areas of the credit union.

- LAFCU is proud to announce that Leslie Rorie, chief financial officer, has been named one of Crain’s Detroit Business’ 2025 Notable Leaders in Finance, an honor that recognizes executives who are leading the finance industry in their communities. Rorie made history as LAFCU’s first African American CFO—male or female—in the credit union’s 89-year history. She was hired as controller in 2022 and quickly rose through the ranks, promoted to interim CFO within 10 months and then to full-time CFO just three months later. She now leads a nine-person team overseeing finance, asset liability management, and investment strategies for the $1 billion credit union.

Promotions:
- Four experienced leaders are taking on new roles as Vice President at Unitus Community Credit Union, reflecting the organization’s focus on expanding access, deepening community connections, and delivering an exceptional member experience.
- Aimee Berg has been promoted from Community Development Manager to Vice President of Community Development & Financial Wellness. In her new role, Ms. Berg will lead programs that strengthen financial capability, build lasting community partnerships, and support members at every stage of their financial journey.
- Larry Cavasso, formerly AVP, Finance & Controller, has been named Vice President of Finance & Accounting. Mr. Cavasso brings strong financial oversight and strategic insight to his new role, where he will manage key financial operations and support organizational growth.
- Amy Olson, previously AVP of Mortgage Lending, has been appointed Vice President of Mortgage. Ms. Olson will lead the mortgage team in helping more members achieve their homeownership goals through responsive service and innovative loan products.
- Ronda Wagner has been promoted from AVP of Consumer Lending to Vice President of Consumer Lending. Ms. Wagner will oversee consumer lending strategy and operations, with a focus on delivering efficient, member-focused lending solutions.
- United Federal Credit Union (United) is pleased to announce the promotion of Halee Pullins to the position of Director of Marketing. Pullins brings over seven years of experience in credit union marketing and public relations, with a strong track record of leading innovative, member-focused campaigns.
Appointments:
- Greylock Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors voted unanimously to appoint Stanley Walczyk as Director Emeritus in recognition of his long and distinguished service to the credit union. In April 2025, the Board of Directors voted to confer the Director Emeritus designation on Walczyk. Individuals who are appointed Directors Emeriti function as an advisory committee to the board of directors. Walczyk’s designation reflects a two-year term.
- Hawaii State Federal Credit Union (Hawaii State FCU) today announced that Kira Higa, human resources director for the Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii, and Garret Yoshimi, vice president for information technology and chief information officer at the University of Hawaii, have been elected to serve on its nine-member volunteer board of directors. John Katahira, president and majority owner of The Limtiaco Consulting Group, has also been re-elected to a second term. Each will serve a new three-year term, effective June 22, 2025.
