Velera, the nation’s premier payments credit union service organization (CUSO) and an integrated financial technology solutions provider, today announced it has been awarded on the Forbes list of America’s Best Midsize Employers 2026, presented in collaboration with Statista.
This marks the fourth consecutive year the company has been named to the list.
Velera is one of 500 companies included among the best U.S. midsize employers, with a total of 1,200 large and midsize companies recognized across 25 industry sectors. Velera ranked seventh in the Banking and Financial Services industry and is in the top 65 of employers overall.
Forbes and Statista selected America’s Best Employers 2026 through an independent survey from a vast sample of over 217,000 U.S. employees working for companies employing at least 1,000 people within the U.S. Over 3.5 million employer evaluations were considered. The final score is based on two types of evaluations: personal (those given by employees themselves) and public (those given by friends and family members of employees, or members of the public who work in the same industry), with a much higher weighting for personal evaluations.
“Being named to Forbes’ Best Midsize Employers list again is a point of pride for Velera,” said Velera President and CEO Chuck Fagan. “This honor reflects our dedication to taking care of our employees and the workplace experience we strive to create – one where people have the resources, opportunities and support to do meaningful work and grow in their careers.”
Velera has always been committed to cultivating a diverse, equitable and inclusive organization where differences are embraced and celebrated. In 2025, the company was named by Forbes as one of America’s Best Employers for Women, ranking No. 2 in its industry, as well as one of Forbes’ Dream Employers in 2024. Additionally, Velera earned recognition as one of Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Workplaces for Gen Z 2025, was named a winner of Glassdoor’s inaugural award for Best-Led U.S. Companies in 2024 and received a Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA) in 2023. Velera was also listed as a Top 25 solution provider in IDC’s 2025 FinTech Rankings, which features technology companies from around the globe that are focused on providing solutions to the financial services and fintech industries.
