The Defense Credit Union Council (DCUC) proudly announces Navy Federal Credit Union (Souda Bay) and Topside Credit Union (Potomac, Dahlgren) have been selected by the Department of the Navy as the 2024 Navy Distinguished Credit Union of the Year. All submissions from banks and credit unions were received and carefully reviewed by the United States Navy Installations Command, Department of the U.S. Navy, for consideration.
“We proudly congratulate Navy Federal and Topside Credit Union, along with their teams at Souda Bay and Dahlgren, on being named Navy Credit Union of the Year,” said Anthony Hernandez, DCUC President/CEO. “This honor reflects their dedication to our military communities and their commitment to serving those who serve.”
Annually, the Office of the United States Navy Installations Command recognizes the on-base financial institutions (bank and credit union) that provided exceptional service to our Navy community during the preceding calendar year. These awards are based on recommendations submitted by installation Commanders. Nominations for credit unions will be accepted in two separate sub-categories: those institutions with total assets of $1B and above and those with less than $1B.
