Several credit unions, including O Bee Credit Union and OC Federal Credit Union, announced new additions to their teams, and a VP from SELCO Community Credit Union was named a finalist for the Eugene Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 Women Business Leader Award.
New Hires:
- O Bee Credit Union has selected Sharon Ortiz to serve as its new Vice President of People and Culture. She was placed by DDJ Myers, the well-known executive search and leadership development firm. A results-driven professional with over 10 years of industry experience, Ortiz served in various roles of progressive responsibility for NE PA Credit Union, which recently merged with UECU, for a decade. In her role as Senior Vice President, she oversaw NE PA’s Lending, Member Services, Teller, and HR departments.
- Bay Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the return of Ray Diep as Assistant Vice President of Finance. A seasoned financial professional with deep institutional knowledge and a longstanding commitment to the credit union mission, Mr. Diep rejoins the organization after a three-year tenure at another financial institution. Mr. Diep originally began his career at Bay Federal in 2011 and held several integral positions during his tenure through 2022, including Finance Manager and Treasury Manager. In his new role, he will oversee financial operations and strategy with a focus on long-term sustainability and community impact.
- The Maine Credit Union League is pleased to announce the hiring of Jared Gay as its new Director of Advocacy and Compliance. A seasoned public policy and legislative professional, Gay brings a wealth of experience in governmental affairs, advocacy leadership, and community engagement to the credit union movement. In his new role, Gay will lead the League’s governmental affairs strategy, spearheading legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts on behalf of Maine’s credit unions. He will work closely with state and federal policymakers, credit union stakeholders, and League leadership to promote and protect the interests of credit union members across the state. Gay also will manage compliance initiatives and PAC activities.
