Citadel Credit Union announced the official launch of its Home Help Program, a $6 million community lending program designed to expand homeownership access in Philadelphia’s underserved neighborhoods.

Program Details:

  • Up to $18,000 in grant assistance for purchase, refinance, or home improvement
  • Available in majority-minority neighborhoods across Philadelphia County
  • Can be layered with other grants, seller assistance, or subordinate financing
  • Eligible for rate-term refinances and not limited to first-time buyers

Citadel’s expansion into the city, including a new Philly branch in early 2026, reflects a deepened commitment to local families.

Citadel has appointed Evan Richman, a seasoned community lending expert, to lead outreach and partnerships with organizations such as NAHREP and the Affordable Housing Centers of Pennsylvania.
