The Second Annual Donate to Dunk event made waves on Thursday, August 21 at Founders Park in Downtown Marion, bringing together community leaders, families, and supporters for an evening of laughter, splashes, and generosity all in support of the Boys & Girls Club of Marion County.
More than 150+ attendees came out to cheer on local leaders and volunteers who braved the dunk tank to raise funds for youth programs. Thanks to the community’s enthusiasm and generosity, the event raised $10,000 with United Federal Credit Union amplifying the impact through a $2,500 match and Modern Woodmen of America with a $1,500 match.
“This event is such a joyful reminder of what happens when a community comes together for a cause that matters,” said Amy Marshall, United’s Branch Manager. “We’re proud to support the Boys & Girls Club and help create opportunities for the youth of Marion County.”
Leslie Schneider, Interim Chief Advancement Officer at the Boys & Girls Club of Marion County, added, “The energy and heart at this event were incredible. Every splash represented a step toward a brighter future for the kids we serve. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who showed up, donated, and helped make this night unforgettable.”
The funds raised will directly benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Marion County, which serves over 800 youth annually through after-school and summer programs. Every dollar raised helps provide Future Ready Youth programming, empowering young people with academic support, workforce readiness skills, emotional wellness resources, and leadership opportunities.
