Everwise Credit Union Celebrates the Holidays by Giving Back

Great Harvest Food Pantry (l-r): Adam Young; Melissa Rojas, Director of Operations and Co-Founder, Great Harvest Food Pantry; and Trisha Smith.

To get in the spirit of giving, Everwise Credit Union recently donated $25,000 to local hunger relief organizations in Johnson, Hamilton, and St. Joseph counties (Indiana) ahead of the holiday season. This week, Trisha Smith, Everwise VP, Marketing, and Adam Young, Everwise Area Manager, presented a $10,000 check to Great Harvest Food Pantry in New Whiteland. Additionally, Adam joined Cole Mitchell, Manager of Everwise’s Westfield branch, and Kasey Bridges, Assistant Manager of Everwise’s Carmel Drive branch, at the Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank in Cicero to deliver another check for $10,000.

The mission of the Great Harvest Food Pantry is to create access to good, healthy food in every community and provide the support one needs during a time of need. In addition, they love to partner with other organizations to help them accomplish their vision of helping others.

Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank is a critical hub for hunger relief in Hamilton County. Working collaboratively with donors, volunteers, and community partners, they’re able to efficiently collect and distribute food to local pantries to help families facing food insecurity.

Everwise also presented $5,000 to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana in partnership with WNDU for their Turkeys on the Table Challenge, which provides turkeys, along with other holiday essentials, to families in need throughout the South Bend area. Brandon Demitruk, Everwise VP, Finance & Treasury and board member for the Food Bank of Northern Indiana, presented the check during a live broadcast.
