MSUFCU Hosts 42nd Annual Greater Lansing Hispanic Christmas Symposium in Partnership with Michigan State University

MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) was proud to serve as the presenting sponsor of the 42nd annual Greater Lansing Hispanic Christmas Symposium on Dec. 10, in partnership with Michigan State University. The event brought the community together to raise funds for the MSU College Assistance Migrant Program, which helps provide essential services to farmworker students.

MSU’s Farmworker Student Services and CAMP have been supporting farmworker students since 2000, providing academic, financial, and mentoring support along with unique learning opportunities. This unique program helps students to successfully navigate the transition during their initial year of study at MSU and provides them with a community of support during their educational career.

The event featured remarks from MSU President Kevin Guskiewicz and MSUFCU Vice President of Community Impact Arianna Ridderbusch.

“MSUFCU has partnered with CAMP for many years because we believe in the potential of every student,” Ridderbush said. “Being a part of this year’s symposium was an inspiring reminder of how powerful community support can be. This event helps farmworker students with essential needs, allowing them to focus on achieving their dreams.”

As the presenting sponsor, MSUFCU’s support meant that all proceeds and donations went directly to CAMP, increasing the impact for students during a time of need. This year’s event raised $136,000.
