Texas Trust Credit Union received a Diamond Award in the annual America’s Credit Unions Marketing/PR & Development Council competition, for its Fueling Kindness campaign.
Texas Trust was one of 181 credit unions nationwide to be recognized for its excellence in marketing at this year’s awards.
The Fueling Kindness campaign was an act of service that allowed Texas Trust employees to be directly involved in making a positive difference in the community. It was a first-of-its-kind event for the credit union that demonstrated Texas Trust is a neighbor first and a financial institution second.
In just 60 minutes, Texas Trust fueled 77 vehicles at a Grand Prairie gasoline station, helping nearly 80 families commute to work or school with a lighter fuel cost burden. Employees from the credit union also distributed $3,100 in direct monetary aid, which included $100 bills and gas cards, and spent 20 staff hours on community engagement.
“Receiving a Diamond Award for our Fueling Kindness campaign is a proud moment for the entire Texas Trust team,” said Toni Nichols, AVP external communications & events for Texas Trust Credit Union. “This event was a first for us, designed to ease the daily burdens of our community. To be one of the 181 credit unions recognized nationwide validates our mission to lead with heart and service in everything we do.”
“We are proud to recognize Texas Trust Credit Union as a Diamond Award winner for its Fueling Kindness entry that deliver both creativity and results,” said Lorrell Bellotti, Diamond Awards co-chair and chief marketing officer at Western Vista FCU in Cheyenne, Wyoming. “This entry demonstrates an understanding of the people we serve and strategic execution that delivers measurable impact.”
